As a wheelchair user for more than 40 years, I have experienced many structural barriers to participation in normal community activities.
It was deeply moving for me to consider the opportunities for ordinary freedom and social interaction that this playground will offer
to future children with mobility impediments and other types of limitations. It will assist them to understand their potential,
and to take full advantage of the world around them. John Walsh AM
A network of voluntary supporters, Friends of Boundless, will be established in mid 2015. Through the friends of Boundless we will extend the playground to cater for young people, engage the health and educational communities in running outdoor programs for inclusive play and development, health weight initiatives and parenting programs.
Friends of Boundless will support events that enhance the play features of the playground and that use the space for performance.
Friends of Boundless will support volunteers who will be available to assist visitors access the playground.
